Design Process Infographic

This was designed for a project at University, it is a representation of my design process, the stages that I go through when working on a project. We were told to explore our identities as a designer, and our working methodologies. I decided to do mine in the style of an illustrated flow diagram, each stage in the process represents a stage in my design process.
This is a representation of the design process that I go through when working on a project or brief. I will be talking about the key steps and working methodologies that happen during the process. Each step is represented by a section of the illustration below.

I will read the project brief, work out what I need to research, and then start to research the neccessary information that is needed for the project. From this initial research, I will get my initial idea, this is where the project really begins for me, this is where I get to experiment with other ideas and start getting my thoughts onto paper.

Idea development is where the experimentation within the project takes place, this is where I will create multiple ideas from one idea, seeing which ones work well and which ones dont. I will start to draw out my ideas on paper, this will allow me to then get it onto screen. Once my idea is on screen, either in Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign, I can get it looking how I want it too look like. Then I can get feedback from my peers, allowing my work to be seen from another perspective, then by getting feedback I can make alterations to my designs to improve them.

Once I have got feedback from other people, I will keep improving them until I am happy with them and have a finished product. I would of looked at everything within the designs, the grid structure, colour scheme, narrative, typography, illustrations and many more visual elements. Finally is the delivery of the finished designs, this is where I get to experiment with how I am going to deliver the project, this could be screen based, printed and folded or bound. I think this is a key element to consider when designing something, it can make a big difference to the way your designs communicate with the user.
